Becoming a Yoga Teacher Trainer: Embracing the Path of Jnana Yoga

For me, becoming a Yoga Teacher Trainer has been a profound way to embrace and follow the path of Jnana Yoga. Jnana Yoga, one of the four main paths of yoga in Hindu philosophy, centers around the pursuit of knowledge and wisdom to understand the true essence of reality and the self.

In my role as a Yoga Teacher Trainer, I am continuously engaged in the process of learning and growing. Each day, I witness the beautiful interplay of teaching and learning, where the act of imparting knowledge to others becomes a means for my own spiritual development.

Living open-minded

The profession of a teacher magnifies the importance of remaining open-minded, receptive, and curious as an educator. It has taught me that no matter how much knowledge one possesses, there is always something new to learn and discover. This humbling realization has deepened my commitment to the path of Jnana Yoga.

My students, the aspiring yoga teachers, play an instrumental role in my journey.

Their questions, insights, and experiences provide me with valuable perspectives and deeper understandings of yoga and life. In this dynamic exchange, I not only guide them in their learning but also gain invaluable insights from their unique journeys.

Swami Vivekananda’s wisdom resonates profoundly with me, as he emphasized the transformative power of education in shaping character, strengthening the mind, and expanding intellect. In training future yoga teachers, I feel a strong alignment with Swami Vivekananda’s vision of empowering the youth to bring positive change to the world.

Being a part of an institution affiliated with Vivekananda Yoga Anusandhana Samsthana (VYASA) in Bengaluru adds even more meaning to my journey. VYASA’s mission to make Yoga a socially relevant science and promote health and harmony worldwide aligns perfectly with my values and aspirations.

As a Yoga Teacher Trainer, I not only share the wisdom and practices of yoga but also strive to foster an environment of deep contemplation and self-discovery. Guiding aspiring teachers on their paths, I hope to inspire them to delve into the profound truths of existence, life’s purpose, and the nature of the self through the practice of Jnana Yoga.

In this sacred journey, I find fulfillment in serving humanity, contributing to a better world, and following the path of Jnana Yoga through the act of teaching and continuous learning.
