Course Structure

 

    1. Applied yoga philosophy
      Delve into the teachings of yoga philosophy as outlined in texts such as Hatha Yoga Pradipika, Patanjali Yoga Sutras, Bhagavad Gita, and Gherand Samhita. Explore various paths of yoga, including Karma Yoga, Gyan Yoga, Bhakti Yoga, and Raja Yoga, and understand their practical application in everyday life.
    2. Practices
      Learn about different practices beyond asana, such as micro and macrocirculation techniques and other loosening practices that are integral to a well-rounded yoga practice.

Learn how to effectively teach these asanas to others.
    4. Functional Yogasana Anatomy
      Explore the biomechanics and kinesiology of movements as applied to asana practice. Understand the muscles used in different asanas and analyze asanas from the perspective of joints, muscles, and movement. Study the human skeleton to enhance your teaching and self-practice.
    5. Breathing and Pranayama teaching
      Learn various breathing techniques and prepare for pranayama practices. Gain knowledge of teaching techniques, benefits, and contraindications associated with eight major pranayama practices.
    6. Cleansing Techniques
      Learn and practice cleansing techniques that are essential for progress in the path of yoga, as per Hatha Yoga texts.

    8. Designing a yoga class
